Assembly has appointed a New Government of Canton Sarajevo

The Assembly of Canton Sarajevo appointed today the new Government of Canton Sarajevo whose Prime Minister is Nihad Uk from Our Party. The ruling majority in Sarajevo Canton now consists of Narod i Pravda (NiP), the Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDPBiH), Our Party (NS) and the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina (SBiH). The Prime Minister and the ministers also took a solemn oath in front of the members of the Assembly.

The government was supported by 22 deputies, ten were against, while two abstained.

Prime Minister Nihad Uk previously submitted an exposé in which he spoke about the action program of his cabinet.

In addition to the Prime Minister, the new Government consists of:

Darja Softić Kadenić (NS) – Minister of Justice and Administration of Sarajevo Canton;
Haris Vranić (SDP BiH) – Minister of Health of Sarajevo Canton;
Almir Bečarević (SBiH) – Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection in Sarajevo Canton;
Adnan Šteta (SDP BiH) – Minister of Transportation of Sarajevo Canton;
Enda Pavić Pečenković (SDP BiH) – Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton;
Admir Katica (NiP) – Minister of Internal Affairs;
Zlatko Mijatović (NiP) – Minister of Economy;
Naida Hota-Muminović (NiP) – Minister of Education;
Pavle Krstić (NS) – Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton;
Kenan Magoda (SDPBiH) – Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton;
Emir Dedović (SBiH) – Minister of Finance and
Omer Osmanović (NiP) – Minister for Veteran Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

The Assembly will also consider the proposal to appoint a new vice-president of the CS Assembly, Jelena Pekić, instead of Igor Stojanović, due to his appointment as vice-president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the session, two parliamentary mandates were awarded to Belma Kapo in front of SDP BiH, and Mersiha Mehmedagić in front of NiP.
