Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)Elmedin Konakovic said yesterday that the visit of the NATO delegation to BiH is one of the most important visits in the “sea of many visits”.

”Today, from a formal and legal point of view, the entire structure of NATO, except for the Secretary-General, came to Sarajevo today, the entire convocation. The session that will be held will be a real NATO session, with an extended convocation, for the representatives of BiH,” Konakovic stated yesterday.

He added that it is certainly an important and essential and political message as well as any other message to “those who from the outside, from some international circles, pretend to control this part of Europe, and especially to those inside who would possibly think about some negative moves in the coming period”.

”A very important visit. I am very happy that it is happening today in Sarajevo. We will host our guests in the best possible way,” said Konakovic yesterday.

At the invitation of BiH, the North Atlantic Council (NAC), led by NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, is visiting Sarajevo on February 1st and 2nd.

On February 1st, the first day of the visit, the Deputy Secretary General and the ambassadors of the NATO member countries, in addition to the members of the BiH Presidency, were supposed to meet with the Chairperson Borjana Kristo and the members of the BiH Council of Ministers.

After the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiHElmedin Konakovic and Deputy Secretary General of NATO Mircea Geoana will address the media.
