The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, as part of his official visit to Egypt.

During the conversation, it was noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt have traditionally had good bilateral relations, but that both sides have an interest in improving those relations.

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, pointed out that BiH and Egypt are developing extremely friendly relations based on mutual appreciation and respect.

Discussing the improvement of relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt, Bećirović emphasized that there are real foundations and economic capacities on both sides for the development of economic relations, as well as for strengthening ties in the fields of education, culture and tourism.

They discussed the possibility of the two countries organizing meetings of business delegations, which, with the coordination of government institutions, will work on improving economic relations. He invited Egyptian investors to come to BiH and consider investment opportunities, primarily in the metal processing sector, renewable energy sources and tourism.

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, said that he greatly appreciates the significant role of Egypt, as a country with a strong influence in the Arab world, and the efforts it invests in the peaceful resolution of conflicts, the establishment of peace in the region and the world, and the strengthening of international cooperation.

The Prime Minister of Egypt expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and the announcement of the intensification of bilateral relations between BiH and Egypt. He conveyed to Bećirović the position of the Government of Egypt, that it will continue to support the strengthening of BiH institutions, through programs of education, training and technical equipment, and that it wants to improve this cooperation.

He invited Bosnian businessmen to visit Egypt. He also expressed a special interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s dedicated production.

The Prime Minister of Egypt and the Chairman of the BiH Presidency concluded at the end of the meeting that in the coming period, businessmen from the two countries should be better connected and, in this context, activate the Business Council, Bećirović’s cabinet announced.
