An election body will gather at the Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo on Saturday at 11:00 o’clock to choose reisu-l-ulema for the 2019-2026 term.

Parliament determined that the Constitution of the Islamic Community in Serbia is in line with the Constitution of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and gave its consent for its implementation.

Earlier, after withdrawing of his candidacy by Husejin Smajic and Salem Dedovic, the candidates for reisu-l-ulema, the Assembly has established a list of candidates for the reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including: Husein ef. Kavazovic and Muamer ef. Zukorlic, MINA news agency reported.

Afterwards, the candidates presented their work programs for the reisu-l-ulema term of office from 2019 to 2026.

The President of the Election Commission Safet Softic has determined that the electoral body which will elect reisu-l-ulema will meet in Sarajevo on October 12, and by that time candidates will have the opportunity to present their program to the members of the electoral body.
