At least 67 people were killed in more than 30 airstrikes carried out by Israeli Air Force planes on settlements in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, regional governor Bakir Hodr told Sky News Arabia television.
He said that around 100 people were wounded in the attacks.
“It was the most massive airstrike on the eastern and northeastern areas since October last year,” said Hodr.
He added that a rescue operation is underway and that the number of victims could increase, TASS reported.
“Al-Jaded” television announced earlier that at least 60 people were killed in airstrikes in Bekaa.
