Former Australian Soccer Player to purchase a Football Club in BiH?

Constantinos Boutsianis, the former national representative of Australia, who played for the most famous clubs in the country (South Melbourne and Perth Glory) as well as English Bolton, has been staying in the capital city of BiH for several days.

The main culprit for his arrival is Samir Ceric from Banja Luka, a very successful businessman in the UK, as well as one of the symbols of the creative industry. He was put on a prestigious list of the most powerful people in the world of art and fashion by the famous Times Magazine.

“While thinking about different possibilities, I reached a conclusion that I have to start my mission in the former Yugoslavia, and I believe that it has some great football talents like Susic, Savicevic, Prosinecki, Bazdarevic and many others. I want to come to work in BiH and use some of my connections with the rich Asian market with the aim to attract investors in BH football. BiH and its surroundings are ideal for my new start. There is plenty of these masters with the ball here, but it is evident that there are some problems in the work with young players,” said Constantinos Boutsianis, who observed yesterday’s derby Zeljeznicar – Zrinjski. Dzenan Zajmovic, and young Nermin Hajdarevic and Haris Handzic attracted his attention.

In the past few days, Boutsianis and Samir Ceric participated in the negotiations on the topic of potential investments in FC Sarajevo and FC Zeljeznicar.

“We have a very concrete intention to invest here. We would like to obtain the co-owners rights somewhere, as well as to invest money at the youth academy of clubs. I believe that we can achieve great results here with some modest investments in regard to rich European countries. There is a concrete plan on how that money would return, but we have to see in which extent are BH clubs ready to respond to our requests,” stated Boutsianis.

He also met with Darko Ljubojevic, team manager of the senior national team of BiH and head of UEFA’s project of development of elite young player in the capital city of BiH, as noted in the statement.
