On Friday, the FB&H Ski Association will receive sports equipment from Graz, Austria, as a present from the famous Austrian company ‘Kastner & Oehler-Gigasport’.
Representatives of the company have decided to give the equipment, which was used for only one season, to youth ski clubs in B&H. The value of the equipment is around 34.000 Euros.
The idea for this gesture was proposed by Helmut Möstl, one of the managers of the company Gigasport and Wolfgang Petritsch, the former High Representative of the international community in B&H, who is currently a professor of International Relations at Harvard University in the USA.
In addition, the Austrian company ‘Weiss Brothers’ has joined this action, so this company undertook the task to transport the equipment to Sarajevo free of charge.
‘’It is needless to emphasize how much this equipment will help young skiers to be engaged in their favorite sport and to achieve better competition results. The action itself certainly is an appropriate sports advertisement for the Olympic City of Sarajevo, as well as for Austria. Such actions fall into friendly relations between Austria and B&H. The sports equipment, after passing the border and undergoing customs inspections, will be placed in a warehouse, and in a few days will be picked up by representatives of ski clubs’’, announced the FB&H Ski Association.
