Just a few hours after the horrific massacre at Dreierschutzengasse Secondary School in Graz, Austrian media began revealing the first information about the perpetrator of this unprecedented crime.

According to Austrian media, it concerns a 22-year-old Austrian citizen named Arthur A., who came to his former school on Tuesday morning armed with a shotgun and a pistol, and on that occasion killed at least ten people, after which he took his own life in the school bathroom. Another 12 people are fighting for their lives, and the police are still trying to clarify all the circumstances of the attack.

According to information from the investigation, a pipe bomb was found in his apartment, as well as a farewell video which, by all appearances, he sent to his mother shortly before the attack. The video was opened only 24 minutes after the attack was already underway.

Although Austrian law strictly regulates the publication of personal data in such cases, Austrian media reported that the attacker lived with his single mother in the suburbs of Graz, while his father was of Armenian origin.

The police are still investigating what motivated Arthur A. to commit this unprecedented act of violence, which has shaken all of Austria. In the meantime, security measures have been increased in all schools in the region, and another educational institution has received threats, further disturbing the public, Klix.ba writes.
