Austrians sharply criticize RS’s Moves: “They violate the Constitutional and legal Order of BiH”

The Austrian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued a statement regarding the latest developments in BiH, supporting the European Union’s statement and condemning the adoption of laws in RS that undermine the country’s constitutional order.

In a press release, the Austrian Embassy stated that they are deeply concerned about the decision of the Republika Srpska entity.

“This undermines the constitutional and legal order of BiH and the functionality of Bosnian and Herzegovina’s institutions. Austria is unequivocally committed to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of BiH. It is necessary to continue progress on the EU path,” they said.

Similar messages have been sent in the last 24 hours by numerous Western countries, with the United Kingdom and the United States of America being the most vocal in their criticism.

“These unconstitutional actions hinder institutions such as the Court of BiH in exercising their legal powers,” is the position of Great Britain.
