What is an average Price of a Square of Apartment in BiH?

The average price of new apartments sold in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the fourth quarter of last year was 1.508 BAM per square meter, and was lower by 8.6 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year, and by 3.4 percent compared to the average selling price of new apartments sold in 2016.

The number of new apartments sold in the fourth quarter last year, compared to the same quarter of 2016, is lower by 3.4 percent, but it is higher by 61 percent than the average number of new apartments sold in 2016. The surface area of ​​new apartments which were sold in the fourth quarter of 2017, compared to the same quarter of 2016 is lower by 16.1 percent, and compared to the average surface area of ​​new apartments sold in 2016 by 51.4 percent.

The Agency for Statistics notes that the prices of the existing housing stock, i.e. square meters of old-fashioned apartments are not included. Last year, 2.439 apartments were completed in BiH, which represents a nominal decrease of 4.1 percent compared to 2016, while there were 2.741 unfinished apartments at the end of 2017, which is less by 0.2 percent compared to the same period of previous year.
