Award ‘Večernjakov Pečat’ went to Sejdić and Finci

At the traditional 21st award event ‘Večernjakov Pečat’ which was held in Mostar, Jakob Finci and Dervo Sejdić were proclaimed the Person of theYear, reports FENA.

On this occasion, Sejdić and Finci called BiH politicians to finally implement the Strasbourg ruling.

Chairman of BIH Presidency Nebojša Radmanović, who was, together with president of Croatia, Ivo Josipović, sponsor of the event said that tonight, Mostar is political and media centre of BiH and the region.

‘We send a message from Mostar as a city of art and culture’, said Radmanović and added that’Mostar is not a city of petty political intrigues, but rather a city that offers a chance to all its citizens.’

Among the nominated were doctors, athletes, businessmen, etc.

The award for the most human act was given to Jelena Trikić, called ‘mother courage’, who died of cancer, and her husband Goran Dunović accepted the award.

In the category of awards ‘Cultural event of the year’ went to Sarajevo Film Festival, and in the category ‘Star of the Year’, the award went to actor Enis Bešlagić.

The award for the ‘Success of the Year’ went to manager of State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH Goran Zubac, while the award ‘Project of the Year’ went to manager of ‘Integral Inžinjering’ company Slobodan Stanković.

Edin Džeko was chosen as the ‘Athlete of the Year’, and the award ‘Diplomat of the Year’ went to Peter Sorensen.

The award ‘Political Success of the Year’ went to leader of SBB BIH Fahrudin Radončić, while the award for ‘Inter-religious Dialogue’ went to Bishop Franjo Komarica.

Special award was given to charity organisation ‘Bijeli put’ for saving people in the past war, and friers Iko Skoko and PhD Slobodan Lang accepted the award.

Award ‘Naše Gore List’ was given to president of the Croatian Parliament Josip Leko, and the ‘Businessmen of the Year’ is manager of ‘Feal’ Company Jozo Bogdan.

‘Večernjakov pečat’ was also given to the USA, as a country that contributed to peace and stability in BIH.

Manifestation that was held in ‘Dom Herceg Stjepana Kosače’ was attended by numerous officials from political, public and cultural sphere of BIH and Croatia.

They were entertained by Ana Rucner, Jelena Rozga, Halid Bešlić, Enis Bešlagić, Prljavo kazalište and Ivan Mukilić, and Dubrovnik Symphonic Orchestra and Academic Choir Pro musica from Mostara.

Maja Miralem and Duško Ćurlić were hosts of the event.
