Azra Piljug from Foča was only seven years old when she had to leave her hometown with her mother and sister. Now she lives in Duisburg, Germany, where her modeling career has just started.
Everything related to the beginning of her career was unusual, starting from the offer by the agency Model Management to the opportunities that have opened after the first photo shooting she had several days ago.
“It all started several weeks ago and it was funny for me in the beginning. The model scout contacted me via Facebook asking whether I am interested in modeling. I told her to make jokes with someone else and deleted those messages. However, several days after that, I received an email with the offer from the agency where that lady works and they expressed interest in making me a model. And that is how it started,” Azra said.
Azra has never been in this business before although she often had similar proposals. However, she never reconsidered them seriously because modeling is usually connected with somehow “skinnier” people.
Azra made her first photographs for Nathalies Photodesign in Duisburg.
“One photo session with Natalies Photodesign has just been completed and I must admit that the results were phenomenal, and I am especially proud on one photo with a lily. I got two offers, one in Berlin and the other one in London, where I was supposed to go in about three months. However, since it all came out of a sudden and I could not even dream about such interest in me, I could not organize the care for my children because my husband works as well, so I had to reject. But there is another offer for a fashion show where I am supposed to present the new collection of Galeria Kaufhof at the catwalk in Frankfurt in March and that is an important step for my future,” Azra said.
