IzetbegovićChairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegovic, attended the opening of the general debate of the 71st session of the General Assembly of the UN, at which, among others, spoke UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and US President Barack Obama.

Furthermore, Chairman Izetbegovic participated in a meeting on the occasion of first anniversary of the adoption of the Agenda of the UN 2015-2030. The agenda of sustainable development, adopted last year at one of the sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations, is consisted of 17 development objectives that are binding for all UN member states, including BiH.

Implementation of Agenda of sustainable development of the UN started immediately after adoption, and numerous projects were realized within a year. The attitude of the participants was that all UN member states are interested on the implementation of the Agenda, and that the planned strategy already started to yield results.
