The Mimosa Festival, a popular entertainment and tourism event in the region, will be presented today in Banja Luka from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Herceg Novi is calling – party, sun, sea” is the slogan under which the 56th Mimosa Festival will be held.

“The most cheerful and one of the most popular tourist and entertainment events in the region, which calls for spring, is coming to Banjaluka. Part of the program of this popular event called “The Festival Begins” will be presented at Krajina Square, announced the tourist organizations of Banja Luka and Herceg Novi.

As stated, the Festival will begin with a performance by 35 majorettes who will start from the “Petar Kočić” Park along the pedestrian zone, to the Bosna Hotel, past the Banski Dvor Cultural Center and the Temple of Christ the Savior, and through the “little park” into Gospodska Street towards the Krajina Street to the venue.

The organizers of the Festival are the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization, the Cultural Center and the Herceg Novi Municipality, and the good hosts are the Tourist Organization of the City of Banja Luka and the City Administration of Banja Luka.

Namely, the ceremonial opening of the Mimosa Festival is scheduled in Herceg Novi for Friday, February 14, when the beginning of the Festival will be marked by a traditional procession of majorettes, the City Music, the Đenović Local Music, trombone players and members of the “Maškar od Škvera” to Igalo, where a concert by two divas of the regional scene – Ana Bekuta and Hanka Paldum – will be held, Nezavisne writes.
