banja lukaIn the last year, Banja Luka recorded 7% more tourist visits and 7.5% more overnight stays compared to 2013.

The biggest city in RS was visited by 69.647 tourists, and 112.293 overnight stays were recorded.

“We have tried to justify our existence, i.e. to promote he tourist offer of our city, but also to make an additional effort to create new tourist products and improve our offer“, said yesterday the director of the Touris organization of Banja Luka (TOBL), Ostoja Barasin.

As he stated, tourism in Banja Luka has a perspective, despite the great economic crisis.

“Positive results in tourism have an additional importance, because last year’s floods made a great damage to tourism generally“, concluded Barasin.

It was talked about the work of TOBL at the Council for economy, employment, finance and budget of the City of Banja Luka.

Reports on activities of the City Development Agency and the Center for the development and improvement of villages were adopted, and the report on the realization of the City development strategy for 2014 was considered.
