The head coach of the BiH national football team, Sergej Barbarez, announced on social networks the day after the great victory against Qatar and placement in the knockout phase of the World Cup.
Barbarez emphasized in a lengthy status that the most important thing is that Bosnia and Herzegovina is happy.
“Does it matter who started, who came in, who scored and who defended? Does it matter what the “experts” say, whether we are “allowed” to play with two strikers, or which player “must” play, whether we are an “average” team, or how we “must” win everything with 3:0 or “that we cannot do this against the Americans”, and we wrote football history, and we made the nation happier and prouder than ever, and we united the nation, and we created new idols etc etc”, began Barbarez and continued:
“Isn’t it important that we dream dreams, isn’t it important that we are a community, isn’t it important that the flag of our Bosnia and Herzegovina has been flying on the world’s biggest football stage for a month now, isn’t it important that we “create” a brighter future, isn’t it important that we are proud, etc., etc.
As a reminder, the Dragons will play against the United States of America in the knockout phase, and the match will be played on July 2 in San Francisco.
