[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Bascarsija will not look like it used to before…

Works on the reconstruction of Bascarsija Square started on the 2nd of September this year. Initially, the stone layer from the direction of the street Saraci towards Sebilj was removed. Then, sewage pipes were changed and contractors estimated that the reconstruction of the Bascarsija Square will last 90 days.

If it is to judge on the works in the past few days, when the bottom part of the Square was paved with flagstones of Jablanica rhodolite, whole Bascarsija Square will be looking like that.

Flagstones on the part from the Bravadziluk Street to Kazandziluk Street were placed on 200 m2 so far. By the end of this week, the left side of the upper part of the Bascarsija Square will be paved as well.

“Boards made of hresa stone were placed on the square before, and now will be replaced by flagstones of Jablanica Rhodolite,” as announced from the Department for Public Relations of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo.
