The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, said that the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, is extremely important and another indicator of the strong support of the Federal Republic of Germany to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the occasion of last night’s meeting in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bećirović’s Cabinet announced that he said that Bosnia and Herzegovina has defined foreign policy goals – membership in the EU and NATO.

“In this sense, it would be important for the European Council this month to adopt a decision on opening accession negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Adopting a decision on starting negotiations would be stimulating for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to EU membership, but also a great encouragement for the citizens of our country”, Bećirović said.

It is added that he informed Minister Baerbock in detail about the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional activities of the leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina. entity Republika Srpska stating:

“As long as they threaten the peace and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is important that we have firm cooperation between the international community and domestic authorities in stopping the separatist policy.”

During the conversation, he pointed to the close and comprehensive economic, political, cultural and other ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Germany, which is one of the most important foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that in recent years there has been an additional increase in trade between the two countries.

“It is very important that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, firmly and unreservedly supported the independence and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointing out the perniciousness of the policy that advocates changes in state borders in Europe. It should be especially emphasized that Minister Baerbock is extremely well acquainted with the circumstances in our country and that it has clearly branded politicians who do not act in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement,” added Bećirović.
