The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Becirovic, said that he is giving seven days to the international community, and especially to the witnesses of the Dayton Peace Agreement, “to stop the destruction of the Dayton Peace Agreement”.
He commented on the session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NARS) which happened two days ago, where the Bill on non-application of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH was adopted, stressing that it is high time for the international community to act.
“Yesterday, the NARS wounded the Dayton Peace Agreement, metaphorically speaking, since yesterday, the Dayton Peace Agreement is on life support,” Becirovic said yesterday.
According to him, “the international community and its representatives have the opportunity to resuscitate the agreement, to bring it back to life”.
“As a member of the Presidency, I give seven days to the international community, and especially to the witnesses of the Dayton Peace Agreement, to stop the destruction of the Dayton Peace Agreement. Yesterday’s decision by the NARS dealt the heaviest blow to the Agreement. Everyone in BiH and the international community must be aware of this. What Milorad Dodik and his followers are doing is a great misfortune both for the RS entity and for the state, but also for the region. The only winner is Putin’s (Vladimir, President of Russia) regime, they must be aware of this in the West as well. I want to warn all those who can act that it is high time to act, in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement,” Becirovic concluded on Wednesday.
