The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, congratulated the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah to Jakob Finci, the president of the Jewish community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to all Jews in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“On the occasion of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, I send you and all members of the Jewish community in Bosnia and Herzegovina my hearty congratulations. I want this holiday to strengthen the sense of community among citizens and peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has inherited multi-ethnicity for centuries.

Members of the Jewish community are an inseparable part of the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we all have an obligation to nurture the tradition of multi-ethnic harmony in our country in the future.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you to spend this Jewish holiday in good health and joy in the circle of your families, friends and neighbors,” reads Bećirović’s congratulatory message, as announced by the Public Relations Service of the BiH Presidency.
