The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke today with the special envoy of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach, as part of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya.
Discussing the upcoming meeting of the European Council in Brussels, Bećirović emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path and persistence in the Euro-Atlantic future is a long-term geopolitical investment in European peace, stability and prosperity.
He pointed out that the EU integration process will strengthen stability in the Western Balkans.
The UK Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach, said that the UK, as a country that is one of the witnesses to the Dayton Peace Agreement, supports the country’s Euro-Atlantic path and remains a strong ally of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Lord Peach said, among other things, that the UK will work to support peace and strengthen democratization in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović thanked the UK for its continued support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Cabinet of the BiH Presidency member announced.
