On Saturday night, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, as a guest on B92 television, said that “Serbia is facing a difficult period because of Kosovo and the Republika Srpska (RS).”
”The state representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), as well as the representatives of the international community, must send a clear message to Vucic that Kosovo and BiH entity RS cannot fit into the same sentence, ” explained Denis Becirovic, delegate in the House of Peoples of BiH and vice president of the SDPBiH.
”It is inadmissible and unfounded to draw any parallel between Kosovo and RS, the entity of BiH, said Becirovic, and added:
”Vucic should know that Kosovo was an autonomous province within Yugoslav federalism and that it had its representatives in the highest institutions of the former Yugoslavia. Vucic should remember for all time that BiH will not pay the price for the wrong Serbian policy, which systematically violated the rights of Albanians in Kosovo, as well as committed numerous crimes and mass expulsions of the Albanian population, ” Becirovic noted in his reaction.
”On the other hand, BiH entity RS did not exist in Yugoslavia or BiH until the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, when it was positioned as an entity in the independent, sovereign, and the indivisible state of BiH, ” Becirovic pointed out.
Also, Becirovic stressed that it would also be useful for Vucicnot to forget that the highest political and military leaders in BiH entity of the RS were convicted in the highest world courts for genocide, crimes against humanity, and other crimes, and Serbia did not prevent genocide, although it was obliged to do so according to the official conventions of the United Nations(UN).
”Because of that, as well as for many other reasons, Serbian officials must know that they have no moral, legal, political, or historical right to connect Kosovo with any integral part of BiHin any way and any context, ” Becirovic said.
