Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tanja Fajon about the current security and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress towards EU and NATO membership.

During the friendly conversation, Bećirović thanked the Republic of Slovenia for its strong support for our country’s European path, as well as for the personal engagement and support of Minister Fajon, as a proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina particularly appreciates Minister Fajon’s strong commitment to the European future of our country.

Bećirović said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is applying the methods used by Slobodan Milošević in the 1990s. Unfortunately, Vučić’s regime is the main source of instability in the Western Balkans. His dangerous policy should be stopped in time so that it does not cause tragic consequences again, said the member of the Presidency of BiH.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tanja Fajon said that Slovenia will continue to provide support to our country and that the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina lies in the EU and NATO.

She said that important steps have been taken towards Bosnia and Herzegovina’s membership in the EU in the last two years, and that reforms along the way will improve the lives of all citizens, the Office of BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović announced.
