Becirovic-Toudic: France is committed to further Support for BiH

Member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, spoke today with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH, Christine Toudic, about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the relations between the two countries.

Bećirović pointed out to the ambassador that Milorad Dodik has publicly stated several times that his goal is a greater Serbia and that he has a concrete plan to break up the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He pointed out that today’s RS attack on the Constitutional Court of BiH represents a brutal attack on the foundations of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and that he expects France and other witnesses to that peace agreement to take concrete steps to protect the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Bećirović presented the Ambassador with the White Book on anti-Dayton acts of the Republika Srpska entity (2021-2023) and emphasized that the European Union should stop the president of the BiH entity Milorad Dodik as soon as possible, who threatens the peace process in Bosnia and Herzegovina with his separatist moves.

He stated that Dodik cannot be above the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the West must no longer tolerate his legal violence.

Bećirović emphasized that the institution of the high representative is at a historical turning point and that the incumbent high representative must sanction destroyers of the Dayton Peace Agreement as soon as possible, and if he does not do so, he should submit his irrevocable resignation and allow a person who will protect the Dayton Peace Agreement to take his position.

He believes that if he does not sanction Dodik and his followers, the high representative no longer has any right to make any decisions related to the Federation of BiH.

Ambassador Toudic emphasized that the Republic of France is committed to further support for Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially when it comes to reform processes and strengthening stability in this part of Europe, and that on this path, BiH can count on the continuation of French support, announced the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
