Haris - kongresThat B&H has a talent pool that is taking over the world, PhD student at ‘Hacettepe’ University in Ankara, Turkey Haris Begović from Trebinje confirms this. These days, he is nearing the completion of his doctoral studies in the area of medical science, namely physiotherapy.

At the recently held 8th European Congress of Sports Medicine in Strasbourg, Begović was named the best young researcher, and his scientific work received a monetary award.

‘’The awarded work is a new approach to research in the area of physiotherapy and experts who decided on the award most likely particularly valued it’’, said Begović. He was attending elementary school when in January 1993 he was displaced from Trebinje with his parents and sister, and settled in Turkey. He is currently working on his doctoral dissertation, and after that, he will go to Hong Kong where he was invited by one of the world’s most respected professors in the field of physiotherapy to conduct 6 months of research.
