At the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), in organisation of Association ‘IT Olympics in BiH’, the 17th State IT Competition for High school students was held, reports klix.ba
Rijad Muminović, third grade student of Second Grammar School from Sarajevo won the first place, student of International School of Sarajevo Armin Ašimović won the second place, and Amer Zavlan from Turkish-Bosnian Sarajevo College won the third place.
Best competitors will be able to compete at the International IT Olympics as well as Balkan IT Olympics.
President of the Association ‘IT Olympics in BiH’ Haris Gavranović said that this competition showed that talent and knowledge of IT is cherished throughout BiH.
‘The competition was an opportunity to socialize and exchange experience, both for students and their teachers. The Association is planning with activities of organising winter and summer camps for young IT talents. This is an ideal opportunity for all company that deal with IT and similar fields to contact us and help the development of the best young talents, but also to invest in their and the future of all of us’, said Gavranović.
As a reward for achieved results, management of IUS gave scholarships for the best students.
