The exhibitions “People of Sarajevo” and “The Balkan Route”, which will be followed by a concert, will be opened on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the Historical Museum of BiH in Sarajevo, at 5:00 p.m.

“Photographer Imrana Kapetanovic brings the stories of our new fellow citizens, while the exhibition of Marko Djuric shows everyday problems and situations of people that are traveling the Balkan route. A concert of support played by Dubioza Kolektiv and Helem Nejse will take place at 6 p.m.,” as noted in the statement.

Besides the exhibition and concert, citizens of BiH will also have an opportunity to make their donations to the organization ”Pomozi.ba”, which has been supporting more than 1000 people since February. All other donations can be brought directly to premises of Pomozi.ba.

“Balkan leaders will meet in Sarajevo two days after this meeting, on June 7, to discuss co-operation with the aim to “solve the problem of border security” and intension of further closing the borders in the region, which is their response to the arrival of refugees and migrants.

It is a duty of all governments in the region, the UN and other responsible organizations to ensure a safe and legal passage for all the persons on their way from their home due to war, instability, ecological disasters, economic oppression; to ensure that every person has access to asylum; and to provide adequate, humane and sufficient help for those who are on a dangerous route,” as noted from Dubioza Kolektiv.

Dubioza invited all fellow citizens to join them and thus demonstrate their solidarity, and noted:

“Migrants and refugees are welcomed here!”
