SIPA Police found Marijuana Laboratory in House in Centre of Sarajevo

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency arrested one person in Sarajevo on Monday due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed a criminal offense under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina “Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics”.

According to SIPA, acting on the order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, SIPA police officers searched a residential building located in the municipality of Stari grad, during which they covered a laboratory with artificial conditions for growing marijuana, and temporarily confiscated a certain the amount of narcotic drug that by its appearance and structure is associated with the narcotic drug cannabis, as well as other items that can serve as evidence in further criminal proceedings.

The suspect was taken to the SIPA premises and was being criminally processed, after which he will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Sarajevo Canton within the legal deadline.
