B&H Chairs Roma Decade from 1 July

Romi_u_BiHThe B&H Council of Ministers adopted at its session the Information of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees B&H on the activities in the framework of the Roma Decade 2005-2015.

The Council endorsed the text of the Declaration on the continuation of the Decade in accordance with the strategy of the EU ‘Europe 2020’ and authorized the Minister of Human Rights Damir Ljubić to sign to continue activities for a faster social inclusion of Roma.

Given the significant B&H results in solving the problem of Roma, member countries of the Decade have decided that B&H chairs the Decade from 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2015.

At an annual level, B&H allocates three million BAM to improve the inclusion of Roma in society, for housing and provision of better living conditions, awarding small grants for employment, improving health care and education, which will be continued in the coming years, announced the Press Office for the B&H Council of Ministers.
