The family footwear factory “Kavat AB” from Sweden exists since 1945. It is one of the best quality producers of children footwear in Europe thanks to its quality.

Factory “Kavat” in Novi Travnik produces around 1,100 pairs of shoes per day. The director of the factory, Smail Sabic, stated that the company exports almost 100 % of its production. Their main market are Scandinavian countries, but they also export to Germany, Austria, Belgium and Russia.

Now they have more than 155 employees, and according to the Managing Board, they are contributing to the strengthening of “Kavat” through their work and dedication.

“Kavat” has its main production facilities in Novi Travnik, and 85 % of their production are products for children, while the rest is a collection for adults.

They are planning to increase their production in the future period. They are also planning to transfer some of the programs that they currently offer as lon-jobs to some other companies under their roof, and they are planning to increase the number of employees from 200 to 250 in the next 3-4 years.

“We believe that art in combination with modern technology is crucial for our success. In this way, we transform the old traditions of footwear production into new ones. We turn our history into our future. We are very proud of the fact that we put the approval seal on each pair of our shoes. We care about everything from initial testing to the final line, thus producing good-quality, reliable and environmentally friendly footwear,” as noted from “Kavat”.

However, they noted that their guiding idea is investing in young people, primarily through visits to fairs in Italy and practical education in Sweden.
