At the plenary session of the General Assembly of the UN in New York, B&H was elected for membership to the Organizational Committee of the UN Peace Building Commission for 2014 – 2015.
The election of B&H in another important institution of the UN during this year is a result of the successful activities of the B&H Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the Permanent Mission of B&H to the UN in New York.
B&H has confirmed its maturity for participation in the highest global bodies and forums through successful participation at the UN Security Council and its membership in the UN Council for human rights, as well as with the active contribution of the police and military officials at UN peace missions. The B&H candidacy was supported from the regional group of countries in Eastern Europe.
