The drawing of the groups for the World Football Championships will be announced on 6 December at the Brazilian resort Costa do Sauipe in Bahia state.
B&H will be for the first time in history among the 32 best football representations in the world. The international football representation (FIFA) should officially announce the schedule of “hats” on 3 December.
As it was earlier announced, during the formation of other “hats” the geographical determinants will be taken into consideration, in order so that in one group there will not be more representations from one zone. Thus, B&H should be in the “hat” with other European representations, excluding Spain, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland from the first hat and probably France that should be included in “hats” with South American and African selections.
The B&H football representation at the group drawings in Brazil will be represented by the president Elvedin Begić, vice president Darko Ljubojević and Ivan Beus, the secretary general Jasmin Baković, the coach Safet Sušić, the secretary of representation Elmir Pilav, Adnan Džemidžić and spokesperson Slavica Pecikoza. The delegation of B&H football association will travel to Brazil on Tuesday from Sarajevo airport, except for Sušić, who will depart from Paris. The group drawing starts on Friday at 17:00 (Central European time).
The possible schedule of “hats”:
– hat 1: Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Columbia, Belgium, Uruguay and Switzerland
– hat 2: USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Japan, Iran, South Korea and Australia
– hat 3: Chile, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, France
– hat 4: Bosnia and Hercegovina, Netherlands, Italy, England, Portugal, Greece, Croatia and Russia
