B&H: GDP in the first Quarter increased by 2.1 Percent

economyThe real growth of the GDP in the first quarter of year 2015 amounted to 2.1 percent in comparison to the same quarter the previous year.

The seasonally adjusted data series shows the GDP growth in the first quarter of 2015 of 0.6 percent compared to the previous quarter.

Observed by the areas of the activity classification, in the first quarter of 2015 the real drop of the gross value added was recorded in the following sectors: Mining and quarrying by 9.2 percent, agriculture, forestry and fishing by 3.7 percent and Transport and storage by 3.1 percent.

The significant real growth of the gross value added was recorded in the sectors: Administrative and supporting service activities by 14.8 percent, Professional, scientific and technical activities by 6.8 percent and Wholesale and retail by 5.5 percent, according to data of the Agency for statistics of B&H.
