harisAt the beginning of February 2014, the B&H team will play two friendly matches with Turkey. The coach of the hockey team of B&H, Canadian Anthony London, is already working on preparing the team that will resist the favored guests, and the roster of the B&H team is stronger by the day.

One of the main hopes of the hockey ‘Dragons’ is goalie Haris Bećirbegović, who was born in Sarajevo and for many years has been wearing the jersey of the club in one of the strongest leagues in the world.

In an interview for Anadolija Agency, he said he was surprised and immensely happy when he heard of the formation of a senior national team.

‘’When I heard that news, I was happy. It is important that interest for hockey in B&H exists, because this sport has a rich tradition in our country. We have to show everyone that this sport is beautiful and dynamic, so investment will increase. An invitation to the national team? What to say, when the Association contacted me, I was happy. I look forward to playing in my home city and wearing the B&H shirt’’, said Bećirbegović.

The friendly match between Turkey and B&H will take place in the Olympic Hall ‘Juan Antonia Samaranch-Zetra’ on 8 and 9 February this year.
