The junior basketball team of B&H will take part in the tournament “Albert Schweitzer” in Germany from 19 to 26 April, the unofficial world championships for young basketball players.
The B&H juniors gathered in Vogošća, where they began preparations for this tournament, announced the B&H Basketball Association.
The selectors of Dragan Bajić called on the following players: Đorđe Aleksić, Sandro Gačić, Damir Hadžić, Nedim Đedović, Milenko Predić, Alija Pirić, Enis Memić, Edin Atić, Đorđe Beronja, Mirsad Pilavdžić, Srđan Ružić, Luka Jovanović, Ivo Garić and Rijad Smajlović.
At the tournament in Mannheim, 16 teams will take part, and the B&H team has been placed in group D with Spain, Italy and China.
England, Sweden, Argentina and Serbia are in A group, Japan, Slovenia, Turkey and Germany in B group, USA, Ukraine, France and Chile in C group.
The first game for B&H will take place on 19 April against Spain (16:30), and a day later they will play against Italy (14:00). B&H will play against China in the last round.
The two best teams from each group will move on to the quarterfinals.
