Zerina Vrabac, a young swimmer from Bosnia and Herzegovina, completed her performance at the Komen Cup in Cyprus today with a new gold medal.

After becoming the new cadet champion of the Mediterranean in the 100-meter butterfly on the first day of the weekend, the member of the Sport Team Swimming Club swam to gold in the 200-meter butterfly today.

With a dominant performance, Zerina Vrabac left behind the representative of Spain in the 200 meters today with more than two seconds of lead, while the third-placed Italian was as much as four seconds behind.

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won the gold medal with a time of 2:15.48, thus setting a new state record for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the cadet competition.

“In her second and favorite discipline, Zerina Vrabac in Cyprus exceeded expectations. We are proud that the new gold medal was accompanied by the breaking of the state record, and we justifiably hope that the best is yet to come in the future,” said Aldin Avdić, coach of the Swimming Club (PK) Sport time.

Zerina Vrabac won the gold medal on the first day of the weekend at the Komen Cup with a time of 1:01.64, announced PK Sport time.
