Officers of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ITA BiH) have seized a number of vehicles in the Kotor Varoš area, with a total estimated value of 480,000 BAM.

The operation was carried out through the coordinated efforts of several ITA organizational units, in cooperation with the competent judicial authorities. It was initiated based on intelligence indicating business irregularities by the individuals under investigation in the Kotor Varoš area, the ITA BiH announced.

During the verification of the trade and origin of the goods, several vehicles of foreign origin were discovered without documentation proving that customs procedures had been completed.

The goods in question have been seized, and legal measures are currently being taken against the responsible individuals due to the established unlawful activities.

Authorized officers from the Enforcement Department of the Banja Luka Regional Center – specifically the Group for the Prevention of Smuggling and Violations – participated in the field operations.

The ITA BiH urges citizens to report any form of illegal trade, tax evasion, or customs fraud via the open hotline at 080 02 06 07.

All calls are free of charge and completely anonymous.
