B&H Marks International Day To Reduce Risk of Catastrophe

13.oktobarWith a UN General Assembly Resolution 64/200 from 2009, 13 October is the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, which is dedicated to building and strengthening public awareness of disaster risks, preserving the environment and preventing the further destruction of the country.

On this occasion, the B&H Ministry of Security, in cooperation with UNICEF B&H, is organizing a press conference that will be held on Monday, 14 October in Sarajevo. The B&H Ministry of Security Fahrudin Radončić and UNICEF B&H Representative Florence Bauer will make addresses.

In this way, activities tied to the implementation of a project ‘Reducing risk of disasters and safety of children’, led by the B&H Ministry of Security in cooperation with UNICEF B&H, municipality Tuzla and city of Bijelijna. The aim of the project is to raise public awareness on catastrophes and ways to reduce the risk of disaster, and to promote the security of children.
