The B&H Minister of Defense Zekerijah Osmić led a delegation of the Ministry of Defense, which is on a visit to Brussels, where they will take part in a meeting of the North-Atlantic Council of NATO with ministers of defense of participating countries of the ISAF Mission in Afghanistan.
‘’At the meeting of the North-Atlantic Council of NATO of participating countries in the ISAF Mission, we will offer our full commitment to active and continuous participation in NATO programs and activities and we will show ourselves as a credible partner and serious aspirant for membership in this association’’, said Minister of Defense Osmić.
During the stay in Brussels, it is planned that the B&H Minister of Defense will have a meeting on the same day with the Minister of Defense of the US-Adriatic Charter (A-5), where they will speak about the implementation of agreed activities tied to the initiative BRAAD (Balkan Regional Approach to Air Defense), which would create conditions for B&H, as well as other countries in the region, to directly take part in the NATO initiative ‘Smart Defense’.
At the meeting they will also speak about issues of joint appearance in peace operations.
