B&H Politicians Signed A Joint Declaration on European Values

bh_politicariLeaders of five political parties in B&H Dragan Čović (HDZ B&H), Mladen Ivanić (PDP), Deputy President of SDA Bakir Izetbegović, Mladen Bosić (SDS), Martin Raguž (HDZ 1990)  and the Chairman of European People’s Party and  EPP group in European Parliament Joseph Daul signed today in Sarajevo a joint declaration on European values, identity, social – market economy and legal state.

B&H politicians by this declaration gave themselves obligations to the commitments for B&H European integration and confirmed the inalienable right to dignity of every human being in all the stages of their lives.

They expressed their commitment to the concept of social market economy based on the freedoms that apply to the market of EU, which serve to the preservation and development of the free market, protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms and which is determined in the B&H Constitution.

They emphasized the aspiration for a democratic country that is based on the rule of law, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms and implementation of principles of social justice.

By this declaration, they expressed commitments to these goals and principles and expressed a desire to jointly achieve them based on trust.
