BH Tourism: Medieval Doboj Fortress is currently being renovated

Doboj fortress35 members of the Artillery Battalion of the Sixth Infantry Brigade of B&H Armed Forces, were also engaged at the renovation of Doboj fortress Gradina.

The captain Sinisa Soknic said that soldiers will, in the next two days, help in restoring a previous decent look of Gradina.

According to his words, in the accordance with the requests of the local community, Armed Forces of B&H will continue to support such activities.

The director of the Tourist organization Doboj, Mitra Djuricic, explained that the army was engaged on the initiative of the deputy Minister of Defense of B&H, Boris Jerinic.

A medieval fortress in Doboj, that was included in the monuments of the first category, was assigned on a temporary use to the city Tourist organization due to the sanation of the object devastated during the last year’s floods and the renovation of cultural activities.

On 28th June, Doboj will marked the Day of the City and 600 years of the first written mention with a rich cultural program.
