BH Tourism: New Facility for Tourists on Trebević Mountain

novi objekatThe once popular picnic spot for the citizens of Sarajevo on the Trebević Mountain, the First Forester, takes on the outlines of a new facility. With the new facility comes a new name, chosen by citizens. The former First forester is now called “Pino”.

“Pino is an appropriate name since the hotel is located in a pine forest and it associates itself with nature. The choice was supported by a large number of citizens, which makes us very happy. The name Pino, proposed by our architect Zec, was chosen in the end, and the proposers agreed,” said Maida Jašarević from Relax Tours, which is working on the project.

Construction work on the new/old hospitality facility should be completed by the end of this year, and about 30 employees should be working in it. It will include 30 rooms, a fireplace-lounge, children’s playroom, wellness center, restaurant etc. Promenades, bike tracks and a playground will be arranged in the surrounding area.

The pre-war building was owned by ZOI 84 and after the war only ruins remained, of which only part of the tower and foundations were preserved. The building was sold more than 10 years ago.
