Data entry and processing of the census of 2013 in B&H has still not started, confirmed to Anadolu Agency the Spokesperson for the B&H Agency for Statistics Mirsada Adembegović.
‘’The B&H Statistics Agency has notified the public several times that it is distancing itself from all data related to the census that is published by individuals, organizations and the media, since data entry and processing has still not begun’’, she explained.
According to her, the first official results of the census, which will be processed and published by the B&H Statistics Agency in cooperation with the entity statistics agencies, will be published at the end of 2014, or at the beginning of next year.
According to the census law of 2013 in B&H, the B&H Statistics Agency was required to publish, in cooperation with the entity statistics agencies, preliminary results of the census within 90 days of the completion of the census.
‘’Accordingly, at a press conference held in November last year, preliminary results were announced related to the total number of people in B&H’’, explained Adembegović.
In the meantime, the B&H Statistics Agency announced a competition for the selection of personnel for data entry and processing and chose the most successful candidates who completed training last week.
‘’The training was held by employees from all three statistical institutions from the sector of statistics and technology with the goal to have the staff become familiar with the specifics of the tasks to be performed. For the purposes of data entry and processing, a total of 298 people will be engaged, who will work together with employees from all three statistical institutions’’, said Adembegović.
According to her, the central location is equipped and ready to work, so that data entry and processing will begin according to the following time schedule at the end of the month.
