Wood IndustryIn the last year, BiH made an export higher than 1.900.000.000 BAM, that is for 9.3% higher compared to 2013, said yesterday in Sarajevo Secretary of the Association of wood industry and forestry of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Selma Baslagic.

At the press conference, before the start of the Assembly of the Association of wood industry, she emphasized that the export of furniture in the last year was 35.4 and is for 5.1 higher compared to the last year, while the export of sawn wood was 28.9%.

According to her words, paralle with the export of the final products, export of raw materials and sawn wood is increasing, but should be reduced, because the final capacities have a problem with the provision of raw materials.

Vice President of the Association of Wood industry, Lordan Ilicic, emphasized that the biggest problem in the wood industry is a too high labor price in the segment of contributions and taxes, which is the reason why it would be good to transfer a one part of the load from the production to the consumption.
