After the Council of Ministers, the Fiscal Council of BiH also met regarding changes to the document of the Global Policy Framework of BiH and the payment of the RS debt to Slovenia, which would be repaid by Bosnia and Herzegovina, or the Federation of BiH, as an economically stronger and more developed entity, and for the most part.

Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, as he announced, did not support such a solution. He vetoed and reiterated that the Federation’s money would not be used to cover the debt of the separatists from RS. There will be no redistribution of the Central Bank of BiH’s money for the RS debt to Viaduct, the Federation Prime Minister said.

This is a debt of 40 million euros, which is growing daily based on interest. Eurocontrol, by order of a Belgian court, has already blocked financing for the Air Navigation Services Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Representative unions operating at the level of the Air Navigation Services Agency reacted, expressing deep concern and indignation over the situation in which BHANSA finds itself.

They warn that the blockade of funds from Eurocontrol, which occurred due to the payment of the arbitration procedure, has jeopardized basic functioning, and workers’ salaries have been reduced.

If the blockade continues, BHANSA will no longer have the funds for regular maintenance of critical technical equipment, nor for meeting current operating costs. Their message is – Air traffic safety in BiH is seriously threatened.
