BHRT’s accounts are still blocked, which is why the public service, as announced, is unable to meet its financial obligations and ensure normal functioning. The BHRT account has been blocked since August 21.
Due to the blockade, BHRT warns that it is unable to provide monitoring of the election campaign and the General Elections in BiH. The election campaign begins on September 4.
The blockade makes it impossible to settle obligations to employees, including salaries, hot meals, transport and health insurance, but also the costs of program production and broadcasting, field teams, technical infrastructure and the preparation of the election program.
BHRT requests from the competent institutions the urgent implementation of the final decision on the basis of which funds greater than 5.4 million KM have been reserved on the RTRS accounts on the basis of the debt from the revenue from the RTV fee. The total debt of RTRS to BHRT, according to the public service, amounts to 109 million KM.
The BHRT state that the account was blocked based on the judgment that determined the obligation of the BHRT towards the RTRS, but also the obligation of the RTRS towards the BHRT. They point out that, while the BHRT account is blocked, the fulfillment of RTRS’s obligations towards BHRT from the same judgment is still unresolved.
