biciklisti2With summer right around the corner, official promotions have already begun for the ”Sarajevo Grand Prix” cycling event, which will be held on the 14th of June in Sarajevo with the support of the International Cycling Union (UCI).

The race will bring together at least 140 cyclists from more than twenty different countries. Competitors will speed through the international race that is listed in the UCI calendar as an official sporting event, said the Cycling Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In October, 2010, the world record for the longest line of moving cyclists was set in the state of California, where 916 cyclists moved in one line. On June 14, this year, however, the total number of participants at the Sarajevo Grand Prix is expected to break the Guinness World Record for the longest line of moving cyclists in the world. The city of Sarajevo will surpass the state of California as the new cycling central in the world.
