BiH to access the Transport Community after all?

Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak believes that the conclusion of the Government of the RS, with which it gave up on previous requests for amending the text of the Agreement and issuing guarantees for banning access to the railway infrastructure after its signing, represents a positive signal and it opens the way for BiH to finally access the transport community.

Crnadak considered that the conclusion of the Government of the RS is entirely in accordance with his proposal to adopt the text of the Agreement without amendments and with a conclusion that the three ministers that are responsible for transport in the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Government of the RS and the Government of the FBiH coordinate activities and align their opinions during the implementation of the Agreement on the establishment of the transport community according to the constitutional competencies, as announced from the MFA BiH.

“If BiH would stay outside the Southeast European transport community, it would have catastrophic consequences and it would also cause large financial damage and disruption of credibility of both the RS and BiH. Due to this, I am hoping that the final decision on the acceptance in the transport community will be made and the signing of the Agreement will follow after the achievement of a consensus in BiH,” concluded the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Igor Crnadak.
