ministry-of-foreign-affairsMinistry of Foreign Affairs of BIH stated that they have no binding formal role in the process of obtaining visa for traveling to other countries for persons who are holders of diplomatic passports. This statement was a reaction to the information that the media reported lately regarding the departure of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik to the USA.

“Ministry can assist at the request of the passport holder, but in case of the President of RS there was no such request and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BIH did not have nor it has anything to do with the obtaining of a visa or any other aspect of the possible departure of the President of RS to the USA. At the same time, public started speculating about the attendance of individuals from Bosnia and Herzegovina on the official ceremony of inauguration of the president-elect of the USA Donald Trump,” stated the Ministry.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH confirmed that the ceremony will be attended by the Ambassador of BiH to the USA and that they have no information about attendance of other persons from BiH.
