Yesterday, the Serbian member and chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Zeljka Cvijanovic, welcomed the newly appointed ambassador of Israel based in Tirana, Galit Peleg, and expressed her belief that friendly relations and cooperation will continue to develop in the future.

Cvijanovic expressed her interest in continuing to build overall relations in all domains with Israel, and in this sense, she emphasized the importance of talks and planned visits at the highest level.

Special attention during the meeting was devoted to the development of economic, medical, and educational cooperation, as well as to the intensification of cooperation in the field of tourism, announced the BiH Presidency.

The newly appointed Israeli ambassador pointed out that the existing friendly relations represent a good basis for the development of cooperation, for the benefit of all nations.

Peleg welcomed the significant step taken by BiH in the fight against anti-Semitism, which is the adoption of the working definition of anti-Semitism by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.

On this occasion, Cvijanovic also supported the fight against anti-Semitism, stressing the importance of commemorating the victims of the Holocaust.

At the end of the letter of accreditation ceremony, Cvijanovic wished Peleg a successful diplomatic mission.
